Hi there! I'm Sihle Joclynn Gqadu, a passionate designer with a knack for crafting compelling digital experiences. With a background in graphic design and a keen interest in Product Design, UX/UI and Social Media Marketing, I thrive on blending creativity with functionality. My journey started in junior design roles, evolving into mentoring students and organizing engaging events while honing my skills. Armed with a degree in Industrial Design and certifications in engineering fundamentals, I channel my multidisciplinary expertise into creating intuitive and impactful designs.
Qualification.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, that has been instrumental in sculpting my understanding of design principles and methodologies. Complementing this, I proudly earned the CSWA - Academic certification, a testament to my proficiency in engineering fundamentals, industry standards, SOLIDWORKS CAD software, and simulation principles. This educational journey not only equipped me with technical prowess but also instilled a holistic problem-solving approach, fostering my ability to innovate and translate theoretical knowledge into practical, impactful solutions.
My experience.
I've gained a broad skill set in design, branding, marketing, and mentorship. With 5+ years of experience, as a Junior Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager at Salt & Light Creations, I created engaging content and contributed to marketing strategies. I also volunteered for website designs at Arise and Shine Organization and handled social media marketing for multiple entities, refining my digital outreach skills. Moreover, my role as a Student Head Mentor at Tshwane University allowed me to support peers academically while fostering teamwork. This blend of experiences, coupled with my education in Industrial Design and engineering certifications, equips me to craft impactful and user-centric solutions.
